This is what Douro is doing best when it comes to red wine. A delicious and quite long finish. Minty, concentrated, great structure, complex and quite delicious. I bought this bottle on a recent trip to Tuscany and more specifically to the Chianti Classico wine region. With 80% Sangiovese (typical Chianti Classico) the nose is clearly marked by herbal notes. Intense and powerful. Hints of oak. Mouth is definitely full-bodied, intense and powerful. The level of acidity means this a great food wine.
