More than I usually pay for a bottle, but yesterday was payday, and I've never gone wrong with ANYTHING from Big House. No disappointment here! The nose is big and fascinating - hints of olives and relish at first, noticeable alcohol, mothballs, pepper. Not a lot of fruit - that comes with the taste. Juicy start, slightly astringent middle, luscious finish. Cherry, berry & grape. The nose mellowed after a couple hours, but the taste stayed.
