Alterar Add comment (when adding bottles to cellar) Configure your account to share on Twitter. Appearance: medium to deep purple-red, distinct orange rim. Nose: bit tight and closed on the first nose, revealing close-knit red and black fruits as it developed (even although the wine was decanted several hours before it is the nature of 1986 to need extra aeration, at least at present). Palate: big tannic structure here that is quite a mouthful, but should settle down as the close-knit fruit will reveal itself in the future. Very long, if tight at present. Conclusion: although people are already drinking their 1986s, I think this wine has yet to show its true colours. Try from 2016 for possibly best (or better) results. Rating will surely improve as the wine come out of its shell.
