Opinião Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa 2006

Vinho Tinto produzido por Robert Mondavi Winery em Napa Valley, Estados Unidos

Appearance: dark purple-red, slight orange rim. Nose: stemmy, but ripe blackcurrant fruit (with blackcurrant leaf herbaceousness), integrated oak. Palate: big tannic structure here (chewy medium-high to high tannins) with medium acidity, balanced high alcohol and attractive ripe black fruits. Good length too. Conclusion: winemaker Genevieve Janssens prefers blending Cabernet Franc with Cabernet Sauvignon rather than using Merlot (she must have some especially ripe Cabernet Franc to hand!). This wine is very well-made and no doubt a reliable part of the Mondavi range. At $20 it’s definitely a winner. Drink 2010 to 2015.
